Chauncey Russell, a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin is entering his third season on the TSJC coaching staff as the assistant coach. Three seasons ago he was an assistant coach at Riverland Community College, an NJCAA Division III institution in Austin, Minnesota. At Riverland, Coach Russell helped the Blue Devils reach their first region tourney birth in 17 years.

Prior to Riverland Russell coached at his alma matter, Bethany Lutheran College, an NCAA Division III institution in Mankato, Minnesota for two seasons (2012-2014). In 2011-12, Russell served as an assistant coach at Presentation College, an NAIA Institution in Aberdeen, South Dakota.

He was a member of the Bethany Lutheran College Men’s Basketball team during the 2009-10 season. He also has experience coaching with the Wisconsin United AAU program in the Milwaukee area, and has coached camps at North Dakota State University, Creighton University, and Marquette University.

Russell received his Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Bethany Lutheran College. He is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University.
