(TRINIDAD, Colo.) – TSJC started the Women's Volleyball program in 1987. Since then the program has seen many amazing student-athletes pass through the doors to wear the blue and gold. Eleven past players returned for the 2017 Alumni Scrimmage this past Saturday at Scott Gym. They represented teams from the first (1987-Shelly Jones) to the 2015 season (Dorian Ray). They scrimmaged against this season's Trojan squad, holding their own throughout the matches and even coming up with some amazing plays that excited the crowd.

"What a great day for the Trojan Volleyball team," exclaimed Coach Melissa Hardman. "We got to blend past and present players today in some scrimmage games. I loved getting to meet some past Trojans and starting a relationship with them. This is going to make us a stronger unit by learning from our past. I can't wait for next year's Alumni Games!"

Hardman hopes to continue this tradition, which also included a BBQ dinner following the matches, in the years to come. Trinidad State is seeking information on former student-athletes, so if you know of a former Trojan player please let the athletic department at TSJC know.
