Mitchell signs with Trojan Soccer

(TRINIDAD, Colo.) – Trinidad State soccer coach Peter Freeman is excited to announce the signing of Trinidad High School standout Amber Mitchell to the 2017-18 Trojan team. Amber was a goalkeeper for the Trinidad Lady Miners soccer program. She had a tremendous senior season; statistically she was one of the leaders in the state recording 181 saves. Amber is a multisport athlete who lettered in soccer, basketball, and volleyball. She was also a great student in the classroom earning recognition on the Principal's honor roll as well as earning an academic letter.

"Amber will be a great addition to the program," commented Coach Freeman. "She has a good foundation in goal and I am excited to see how much she can improve by joining the program. She is a great kid with a lot of potential. I am pleased that Amber has decided to continue her academic and athletic career at Trinidad State, she is the first player from the Trinidad community to sign an NJCAA Letter of Intent to the TSJC women's soccer program."

Amber will join the Lady Trojans this fall as they prepare to make another run at the Region IX title.
