Fraser and Dos Santos sign with NCAA programs

(TRINIDAD, Colo.) – Two more Trinidad State Women's Soccer players have decided to continue their academic and athletic careers at the next level. Thais Dos Santos and Rachel Fraser both committed to NCAA DII schools to play soccer this fall. Both Dos Santos and Fraser are international students at Trinidad State.

Thais Dos Santos signed her National Letter of Intent with Ohio Valley University in Vienna, West Virginia. She will join a Fighting Scot program that only won one game last season in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. Dos Santos is a midfielder from Vinhedo, Brazil. She was named first-team Region IX this past fall.

Rachel Fraser has signed her National Letter of Intent with Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska. She will join a Wildcat team that won nine games last season, but fell short of the Northern Sun Conference playoffs by one game. Fraser was a second-team all-region defender in 2016. She hails from Brisbane, Australia.

"Both players have done a tremendous job for the program over the past two years," commented Head Coach Peter Freeman. "They both have a strong passion for the sport and were great leaders both on the field and in the classroom. They were key components to our successful season and will be difficult to replace. I look forward to seeing what they can accomplish at the NCAA DII level."
