McGinnis signs to play at Prairie View A&M

(TRINIDAD, CO) – Soccer standout Marinah McGinnis recently signed her National Letter of Intent to play at Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, Texas next year.  PVAMU is a NCAA Division I school that competes in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). She will be joining her sister, former Lady Trojan Braelah McGinnis on the field for the Panthers this fall.

Marinah, who came to TSJC from Thomas Jefferson High School in Denver, had two great seasons for the Trojans. Her freshman year she played in 11 games, scoring three goals and providing a pair of assists. This past season she moved to a more defensive role starting every game for the Trojans.

"I am very proud of Marinah to continue her academic and soccer career at Prairie View A&M," commented Coach Peter Freeman. "She has been a great leader for the program the past two years both in the classroom and on the field.  I look forward to following her success at the next level."
