A low point of the season was felt by the Trojans in a loss to Otero on Tuesday, but it was followed with what might have been the finest half of basketball they played all season as they routed McCook. It was a necessary bounce back, as the Trojans reestablished themselves as a force in the region.

On Tuesday, TSJC couldn't get the shots to fall, hitting just over 30% from the floor, losing 55-48. The cold shooting Trojans led much of the contest, but a terrible third quarter was enough to let the game slip away. Statistically, Annette Warner had a solid game with 15 points and eight rebounds. On Saturday, it was a completely different story as the Trojans ran the Indians out of the gym in the first half with a scoring barrage that left the scoreboard glowing 47-15 at the half. TSJC put it on cruise control in the second half to sail to a 75-45 win. As a team, they shot almost 50% from the field, with Mandie Perea leading the way with 18 points. Destinee Vigil shot 50% from behind the 3-point line to put in 17 points, and Warner dominated underneath with 11 points and seven rebounds.

The Trojans (11-9, 5-3) will face Northeastern JC (9-9, 4-3) in Sterling this Friday night. After the game with the Plainswomen, they have five region games left. They will be at home on Friday, February 9 to face Western Nebraska and on February 10 to host Eastern Wyoming.
