Vs. Otero

After a long break the Trojans came back looking to stay hot, after beating Western Wyoming.  Due to several games being postponed, Trinidad's first opponent was Otero, at their place.  The energy in the arena was ecstatic because fans were going wild.  To start the game, both teams were trading buckets, and not much defense was involved.  Both teams were struggling to get a stop.  At halftime, the Trojans made an adjustment by switching into a 2-3 zone.  For a majority of the time, they were successful.  Eventually Otero's physicality took a toll on the Trojans, and the Rattlers were moving the ball well.  Creating easy opportunities and scoring points. Trinidad State was struggling to get the ball across half court, turning the ball over, and were unable to score.  Otero took over the game with their free-throw shooting.  The Trojans ended up losing to Otero 65-56 and attempted to bounce back at home against Laramie.

Vs. Laramie County

To start the game the Trojans were looking pretty good, they were sharing the ball and making shots.  Laramie was also getting to the rim easily.  The atmosphere of the game was eerie because a majority of the students were not back from winter back.  Not many people were supporting the Trojans, and they were unable to feed off the crowd's energy.  While competing and playing well, Trinidad State, still came out to start the half flat.  Dylan West got into foul trouble, and everything went downhill from there.  To start the second half, the Trojans were making a comeback, but due to selfish play, they were unsuccessful.  Laramie was scoring at ease, grabbing offensive rebounds, and knocking down foul shots.  The Trojans fell short once again.
