The Trojan Baseball team kept the momentum going this week as they swept games with Otero and Adams State JV to move their win streak to 11 and their overall record to 36-6. TSJC got into the spirit of "Friday the 13th" by scoring 13 in all three games this week, defeating Otero 13-0 and ASU 13-5 and 13-1.

Dave Gauthier notched his sixth win of the season in the midweek game with the Rattlers. The sophomore struck out five while allowing only five hits in the five-inning shutout. The Trojans stole four bases in the contest and Conrado Diaz blasted another home run to spark the offense.

Over the weekend the Trojans stepped out of region play and faced ASU JV at Central Park. In game one Gauthier grabbed another win, this one in relief, and a Blake Mattey grand slam provided a spark to the offense as TSJC came from five runs down to notch the 13-5 win. An 11-run third inning in the second game thrilled the crowd as the Trojans won 13-1. Vance Ferraro got the win on the hill and Diaz recorded his eighth home run of the season.

The Trojans moved up to #9 in the national polls last week and remained in first place in the region standings. TSJC (36-6, 22-2) will be at home on Wednesday for a nine-inning game with the Otero (19-22, 12-11). They will then host Otero again on Saturday for a doubleheader.
