The Trojan Baseball team continued its red-hot play defeating Lamar midweek and then sweeping a weekend series with Western Nebraska Community College.

In the midweek game with Lamar, the Trojans grabbed an early lead and held off a late rally to win 7-5. Dave Gauthier got the victory on the hill and Niko Guzman picked up the save. The Trojan pitchers combined for 12 strikeouts in the contest. Blake Mattey had a hot bat in the contest going 3-for-4 with 3 RBI's.

Against Western Nebraska over the weekend the Trojans trailed for only one inning, sweeping the Cougars 12-6, 8-5 and 10-4. Game one saw Niko Guzman get the start. The sophomore picked up his sixth win of the season striking out three over six innings of work. Nine extra base hits powered the Trojan offense in the contest.

Sunday's games were closer, but the Trojans continued to find ways to win. Devin Castro pitched six solid innings, recording eight strikeouts, to get the win in game two. Ethan Castro and Alex Bedard each had a pair of RBI's in the game. Eli Sievert recorded his ninth win of the season in the final game of the series, a 10-4 Trojan win.
