Robotics Team Dominates at the Sand Dunes

The Trinidad State Robotics team had another great showing at this year's Colorado Space Grant Consortium's Robotics Challenge at the Great Sand Dunes National Park.

The team's small robot, TAD, won best robot in the 1.5 kg category and the big robot, TOAD, won the advanced autonomy award (smartest robot).

Both robots finished all 6 courses in the first 30 minutes. They then demonstrated their extra credit challenges in taking a core sample and mapping. The team also made their own diabolical course to play in.

The Team Advisors are Cindy Clements, Karen Howl, Hayden Alworth and Earl Nesbitt

The team members are Makai Chambers, Gavin Clark, Zane Evangelista, Anna Jasinsky, Micah Knight, Jordan Malone, Cayden Newport, Myka Salbato, Cade Vigil, Bryan Williams and Sydney Worley
