(ALAMOSA, Colo.) – TSJC Cross Country and Track and Field Coach Lauren Martin is pleased to announce the signing of Toni Moore from Omagh, Ireland. Toni is a long distance runner who specializes in the steeplechase, but has had success at a multitude of distances. In 2016 Toni was the champion of the Ulster Province Schools in the 1500-meter steeplechase, and also finished fourth at the All Ireland Schools Championships in that event.
Coach Martin praised the new signee "Toni is going to be a great addition to our team. She's run good times and placed very high at many of the races she has run. She has a lot of talent and a great mentality. As we slowly build up her training she will only get better and better."
Toni will join a women's team that qualified to the NJCAA national meet in 2016 in the program's first year. Coach Martin is excited about what her newest team member brings to the table. "Toni will only make our team better. She's wonderful to talk to, but she also has high expectations of herself. She is going to help our team push itself to the next level. I'm very happy to have Toni coming to Alamosa next fall."
