A pair of Lady Trojans were recently named to the All Region IX women's basketball team. Point guard Destinee Vigil was named to the South All-Region team and post Hannah Gilmore was named to the South All-Defensive team. Each were sophomores for the Lady Trojans.
Vigil, from Belen, New Mexico, averaged 12.3 points per game to lead TSJC this past season. She also had an extremely impressive assist to turnover ratio of 1.6 during her career at Trinidad. Destinee will continue her education and playing career in Alamosa next year as a member of the ASU Grizzlies.
Gilmore came to TSJC from Cedaredge, Colorado. She averaged just under ten points a game this past season and led the team with 8.4 rebounds per contest. Hannah is a 4.0 student and has also received many academic awards during her stay at TSJC.
