Trojans move to 6-1 with win over GCCC

TSJC improved to 6-1 this week with a pair of wins over ASU JV and Garden City. The Trojans will have a few days off before returning to the court on Tuesday, November 20 when they host Laramie County at Scott Gym.

The Trojans dominated Adams State's junior varsity on Tuesday evening in Alamosa. TSJC led 39-15 at the half and just kept it in cruise control through the second half for the 69-34 win. Conner Proctor led all scorers with 17 in the contest. Nuria Saez grabbed her first double-double in a Trojan uniform with eleven rebounds and ten points.

In the friendly confines of Scott Gym on Wednesday night the Trojans climbed back from a 13-point deficit midway through the first half to defeat the 3-1 Broncbusters from Garden City. Kate Rohr scored 23 points off the bench for TSJC. Saez and Julia Trujillo combined for 23, as the Trojans climbed into the lead with a 19-7 third quarter run and held on for a 63-60 win.

TSJC will host the Golden Eagles from LCCC on Tuesday at 6pm. LCCC is 4-2 on the season. Following that home contest, the Trojans will travel to Scottsbluff, Nebraska for a holiday tournament at Western Nebraska Community College.
