Trojans top Lamar 74-66

The Trojans took on Lamar for their last home game before they go on the road for a stretch.  The team was ready to continue their winning streak, but Lamar had other ideas.  Lamar was without one of their best players.  In the beginning of the game, both teams were trading buckets.  Trinidad State was being lazy, turning the ball over, and were unable to play any defense.  Lamar was able to take advantage by making open 3's and getting second chance opportunities on the glass.  Lamar came into the half with a slim lead.

Trinidad State started the second half with fire in their eyes, sharing the ball, finding open teammates, and knocking down open shots.  The energy spark came from Tripp Beatty and his defensive intensity. Oh, and we can't forget about Dejour Reaves.  That man was on a mission, scoring at will, finishing with nearly 30 points.  With Dejour's aggressiveness on offense, the energy from Trinidad State's defense, and the team's willingness to share, allowed the team to continue their winning streak with a 74-66 win. That's three in a row!
