Trojans Run Past Bulldogs

Trojans Run Past Bulldogs

Vs. Clarendon College

Trinidad State took on Clarendon at home.  The Bulldogs were facing a tough challenge because it was their fourth game in five days.  To start the game, they were tired and slow.  The Trojans were sharing the ball against Clarendon's 2-3 zone and converting passes into points.  They were also able to run the floor in transition, creating easy opportunities for them to score.   The Trojans did lack energy in the first half but closed it with a double-digit lead against Clarendon.

In the second half, Trinidad came out with an energy boost, moving the ball well, getting defensive stops, and grabbing rebounds.  The team finished with twenty plus assists.  Dejour Reaves and Dylan West lead Trinidad State in scoring, combing for thirty plus points.  Several other players, Jailen Bedford and Javeon Tolliver each scored nine points, were able to make key contributions on the offensive end.  On the other side of the ball, Dylan West was a menacing on the boards, securing 6 rebounds, and Cooper Peterson took momentum changing charges. Clarendon did not have any answers for the Trojans, so they tried switching up their defense, but ended up being unsuccessful.  Trinidad Sate defended homecourt in a blowout victory.
