Trojan Shield Weekly Update: April 8, 2019
Greetings from Trojan Country!
The annual Fun and Friendraiser event was held at Brix in downtown Trinidad on Saturday evening and it was a huge success. I would like to say a huge thank you to the TSJC Educational Foundation for allowing the athletic programs to be featured at the event. I would also like to thank everyone who attended and contributed. It was a fun and festive evening. Todd Romero from Altitude Sports was the perfect Key Note speaker for the event, and it was great to have both President Dr. Kerry Hart and incoming President Dr. Rhonda Epper in attendance. TSJC Athletics would also like to congratulate Mike Dixon and Laura DeBella on their induction into the TSJC Educational Foundation’s Hall of Fame. They are both great supporters of TSJC and Trojan Athletics. In a side note, Mr. Romero gave us a great shout out during the Nuggets pregame show on Sunday evening on Altitude Sports.
The women’s soccer team saw their first action of the spring season with scrimmages against CSU-Pueblo and Adams State University this past weekend. They did a great job and held their own with the RMAC schools. Congratulations to them and to Coach Freeman.
Finally, there will not be a newsletter next week as many of our staff, myself included, are involved in NJCAA Region IX conference meetings.
