Academic Awards announced by the NJCAA

TRINIDAD, Colo. – The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) recently released the list of top academic teams and student-athletes for the 2018-2019 academic year. Seven of the Trojan teams and 43 of the athletes were on the list for top academic achievement.

To qualify as an NJCAA All-Academic team the grades for the entire squad are averaged together. If the team has over a 3.0 combined GPA they make the list. The seven teams to make the list for Trinidad State this year are Volleyball, Softball, Women's Basketball, Women's Cross Country, Women's Soccer, Women's Indoor Track and Women's Outdoor Track. Volleyball edged out Softball, 3.55 to 3.54, for the top GPA at the college. Nationally there were over 700 programs on the list.
